“My wife and I have (had) two homes in the Charlotte, NC area. Knowing how "hot" or "in demand" the market is we had often discussed just hiring a lawyer and selling our primary home (and eventually both) For Sale By Owner to avoid the realtor commissions. By recommendation of a family member, my wife had reached out to Marcus Nance when she had found a home on Zillow that she wanted to tour in person. We didn't like the home once we saw in person but kept in touch with Marcus. He took her (our) home criteria down and put us into the Helen Adams database sending us available properties that became available in our desired area code and price range. The rest is history.... Overall, we toured 3 homes in the South Charlotte area. Two of them we knew immediately it wasn't for us. The third, however, we fell in love with the second the front door opened. Marcus professionally advised us on what to offer the sellers of the home we ended up purchasing. With some back and forth negotiations we landed the home that we loved, well below asking price. Once our offer was accepted, we began the process of preparing and listing ours. This is where everything paid off. Again, historically we had always discussed wanting to list everything ourselves to avoid large dollar amounts in commissions. With us both being so busy at work and a young child at home with no school (#covid) to go to we simply did not have the time to do any of this. At this point, we already had the working relationship with Marcus and it never really crossed our minds. I will tell you right now that it is worth every single penny in fees to have him handle everything for us. The process was effortless. It was seamless. We barely lifted a finger in the time Marcus came to our house to inspect and let us know what we should be selling for to the last stroke of the pen. I will tell you know that there is not a single dollar of my life that I was better spent than hiring this team.
